Hello lovelies 🥰

Happy new year oo🌚

Let me share another beautiful story with you, and I believe it is essential that I share this story at the beginning of the year and maybe later because many people want to secure the bag this year. #saynotopoverTea #byetosapa and other things

One day a multitude of folks were chilling with the big boys (Jesus and the disciples), and someone asked him a question based on their entitlement to an inheritance. That’s how Jesus told them that he doesn’t judge the matter that doesn’t concern him oo, but that is another story for another day.

Jesus then faced the multitude and told the story of one rich guy like that; this guy had an unusual increase. He was a farmer and he owned a particular land that brought forth plentiful (asin opoooorrrr).

That’s how this guy thought to himself that since I have plenty harvest even more than I was expecting, let me pull down my storehouse and barns and build a new one, and I will say to my soul, soul you have much goods laid up for many years, take your ease, eat, drink and be merry. (Luke 12:16–21)

Long story short sha, the man died and his soul could not take ease, eat, drink and merry, but that is not even my focus today.

My focus is what do you do when you have an unexpected increase?

Most times, when we have this increase, we automatically think it is time for us to rest, eat, drink and merry for years without considering why the growth came.

In the case of this rich man, he could have filled his barns, thanked the Lord that gave increase and continued working.

He could have asked the Lord what he wanted him to do with the unexpected increase in harvest. Maybe God caused that increase to happen so that food could be cheaper for the masses but someone decided to hoard the increase by building new storehouses so that they could sell at a higher price during scarcity and make more money from the growth they weren’t expecting.

It could be anything but the rich man was only bothered about his soul and self. He was self centered. He did not even think about giving the labourers on the farm bonus for their hard work that brought increase. All he cared about was himself.

So now that you are doing crypto, NFTs, there’s money in Tech now, your own is real estate, and you are making commissions, digital marketing and many more.

You know that the Lord is unusually blessing you; wait before you tell your soul to ease, eat, drink and merry and not worry about the future.

Know the purpose for the increase. Ask God what he needs you to do with it. God could ask you to invest it in something else (which could mean other projects, someone, people, and anything and everything).

“Your first shot at wealth is a test not a blessing” — ‘Poju Oyemade

PS: This doesn’t mean you should not have fun when you get an increase but don’t let greed and covetousness get into your soul. Thank God for the increase and understand why he gave the increase. If God should entrust you with wealth, know why he did and use it for that purpose.

Remember Paul planted the seed, Apollos watered it but God was the one who gave the increase. (1Cor 3vs6)

God bless you, and may you find favour in all your endeavours.
